Various critics have opined that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s relationship would end, but a well-placed source believes that the couple would not have met and married if Diana, Princess of Wales, was still alive.
Meghan Wouldn’t Be In Harry’s Life If Diana Was Alive-Says Dickie Arbiter
According to Dickie Arbiter, a former Press Secretary to the late Queen Elizabeth II, Harry and Meghan’s relationship is showing signs of wear and tear as they continue to take shots at the firm ahead of the release of his tell-all memoir ‘Spare’.
In his comments, Dickie said: “If Princess Diana was alive today we would not be going through this. She had her head screwed on the right way.
“She was very practical and he was very sensible. I’m going to stick my neck out here and I doubt Harry would have married Meghan.”
This is a very contentious claim, but on reflection, perhaps there is some merit. According to Valentine Low’s book ‘Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown,’ Harry’s dramatic transformation to a cold and distant figure is apparent.
Prior to becoming full-time working royals, Prince William and Harry had a part-time private secretary named Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton.
Valentine adds that William’s life course was more difficult to navigate than Harry’s, as Lowther-Pinkerton was approached to be one of Prince George’s godparents.
But when it came to Harry, things were entirely different. In his extract, Valentine added: “The wild lad [Harry] died the day Harry met Meghan Markle.” The fans on social media had a mixed response.
A certain subset felt it was impossible to have known how Diana would have reacted. Meanwhile, others were of the view that Diana would have supported Harry’s decision to dictate his own fate.
One person wrote: “I doubt Diana would have dictated who Harry wished to marry….Diana was a loving woman who would have probably supported Harry’s wish to move away from the firm.”
