In the middle of the pack of Super Junior Tag League, former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Flying Tiger still have a chance of victory – but they’ll need to kick off a hot streak tonight. Tonight, they get a chance to do just that as they face off against El Lindaman & Alex Zayne, now collectively known as SAUCEHEARTS. Zayne & Lindaman are just behind the tournament leaders of Chris Bey & Ace Austin – and have a chance to potentially tie them here tonight.
SAUCEHEARTS Continue To Dominate
Zayne would kick things off with Eagles, able to hold his footing after a running hurricanrana. Eagles & Zayne went for dropkicks at the same time, ending in a stalemate before a show of respect and some tags. Lindaman would be thrown into the corner by Tiger, but was able to go for a powerslam only to end up in a sleeper hold.
Chinbreaker counter would follow, before a pose off would end in favour of the
legendary Tiger Mask. Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker would land, with Eagles getting the tag moments later for a double team kick. Lindaman would take some stiff chops, before finding the chance to tag Zayne back in.
A stiff back elbow and the Baja Blast would follow, getting Zayne a two count on Eagles. Super Hurricanrana would be blocked, with Zayne shoved down to the ring, but Eagles would find his diving Hurricanrana failing as well. Zayne nearly hit the Taco Driver, with Eagles able to hit the Asai DDT as a counter.
Tiger would hit some stiff kicks to corner Zayne, before a roll up for a two count. Zayne would take a Mule Kick before being locked in a kneebar. Lindaman would make the save, before Zayne would set up a hurricarana on Eagles in the corner. A German Suplex to Tiger was planned as a follow up, but Tiger was able to block and hit a Tiger Driver for a two count.
Avalanche Butterfly Suplex was set, but Lindaman would make the save – hitting a dropkick. Tiger & Eagles would be thrown with Exploder Suplexes, before the Kumigoroshi into Cinnamon Twist would end this match – getting SAUCEHEARTS another victory.
Suzuki-gun Desperately Need A Victory
It’s not been a good tournament for DOUKI & Yoshinobu Kanemaru, having gone 0-4 in their last four matches. Another loss tonight will have them potentially facing mathematical elimination, and facing a red hot team in Titan & BUSHI of Los Ingobernables De Japon could spell disaster for the Suzuki-gun duo. Kanemaru has status as a legend of Junior Heavyweight wrestling, and tonight might be the perfect time to remind everyone why.
Titan & DOUKI would kick things off, with DOUKI having a well documented hatred of men like Titan who found success in Mexico while he suffered. DOUKI would be able to counter a wrist lock, only to be sent to the floor. Titan showed his agility with a Space Flying Tiger Drop, missing DOUKI but landing on his feet… before Kanemaru ran him down. DOUKI would shove Titan into the post, before going after his mask in the ring.
Kanemaru would put the pressure on Titan with some clubbing elbows to the back of the head and a snap DDT. BUSHI would be kept off the apron, as Kanemaru just stomped Titan into the mat. Titan would duck a lariat from Kanemaru, and was able to catch him with a kick – finally tagging BUSHI into the mat.
BUSHI & Titan Move With Purpose & Grace
Running headscissor takedown would follow, before a double hurricanrana to DOUKI & Kanemaru. DDT on Kanemaru would get a two count, before Kanemaru ran into the Pendulum Kick in the corner and was dropped with a Missile Dropkick. BUSHI would be dropped with the basement dropkick, before DOUKI came in and stomped the knee.
Titan would get the tag and sent DOUKI to the floor with a hurricanrana, before a dive over the top rope. Back in the ring, Kanemaru would work extra hard for a tornado DDT on Titan, before DOUKI hit the diving stomp. Titan kicked out and found himself in the DOUKI-CHOKEY, as BUSHI was locked in the Figure Four.
BUSHI would shove the referee into DOUKI to get his partner free, only for Titan to take the Daybreak DDT. Suplex De La Luna would be set, but BUSHI would make the save and hit a Backstabber. DOUKI was set up for the Springboard Splash, before Kanemaru was dropped with a dive to the floor. In the ring, Titan would hit the rushing Lariat, setting up the Codebreaker from BUSHI, before Titan hit the springboard foot stomp for the victory.
