Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been heavily criticised for their behaviour after having gotten everything they requested.
Harry And Meghan Criticised For Their Behaviour Post Royal Exit-‘One Would’ve Thought That They Would’ve Just Disappeared,’ Says Royal Expert Russell Myers
That is according to royal commentator Russell Myers. The pair ultimately made the decision to leave the firm in 2020 on the basis that they wanted to live a life of independence and avoid the media intrusion that had become cumbersome.
While they were allowed to pursue those wishes, the couple’s behaviour has been counter to that. Their controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey made damning revelations against the firm, while Meghan’s interview with ‘The Cut’ coincided with the 25th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death.
And given that Harry’s memoir, Spare, is set to come out in the New Year, their behaviour has left people puzzled as they continue to hang on to the coattails of the Royal Family.
In his comments, Russel said: “They have been pretty much trying to get everything their own way and one would’ve thought that they would’ve just disappeared into the Californian sunset, been happy to make a bit of money and just forge their own life – but no.”
This naturally begs the question: what is the motivation behind the couple’s action? Well, there is an argument that this could be driven by money since their royal titles have played a part in contributing to lucrative deals with Netflix and Spotify.
Although that could be a justifiable reason, there is also a possibility that there is something more sinister here: that is to get their own back on what they perceive to be negative treatment they had experienced.
Russel’s following comments confirmed as much: “Is it sort of score-settling, is it a purposeful act that he just wants to get back at his family? I suppose we’ll just have to see.”
The contents of Harry’s memoir could redefine the dynamics with the family forever. Time will tell. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
