A Lubbock, Texas pizza place got some negative publicity recently for a promotion meant to cash in on the recent interest in Jeffrey Dahmer and his grisly crimes. The establishment, Capital Pizza ran their “Jeffrey Dahmer Special” which was a pizza topped with fake body parts and fake blood.
It was meant as a display that could draw in viewers of the Netflix show. However, there were many customers who just weren’t with the promotion and felt that it was capitalizing on victims’ deaths and ignoring how their families feel about it.

In speaking with Everything Lubbock, Capital Pizza owner Kiefer Slusher-Davidson said that the display was floated after a waitress got the idea and put the prop pizza together herself.
The pizza was put up as a Halloween prop with the intent of getting pizza eaters who also were also at least interested in the show.
Slusher-Davidson guessed the outcome of putting the pizza on display telling Everything Lubbock “Like I said, it’s a fun prop, I suppose we’ll become either famous or infamous.”
Similar to the backlash experienced by Netflix and Crisis at Rock City, many people were not onboard with the Dahmer hype this year.
With that said, the owner told TMZ that while the parlor had gotten pushback for the display, they have had visitors and customers who posed with the Jeffrey Dahmer Special.
