Israel Adesanya’s swollen pectorals are boosting the steroid talk once more, years after it emerged for the first time. Ahead of his UFC 281 appearance, the ‘Broken Native’ hopes to revenge himself for the kickboxing loss to Alex Pereira in his early fighting career. This weekend they will take on each other at Madison Square Garden in what is to be the fight for the Middleweight title.
Israel Adesanya has fought off steroid use accusations in the past successfully, and people have been silent on that topic for quite some time. Up until now when the gynecomastia on his right pectoral muscle shows up again.
Will the UFC 281 Main Event Happen? Is Israel Adesanya On Steroids?
The Stylebender posted a photo of his ‘team’ on social media and he received a massive backlash for it. He is pictured next to his teammates Dan Hooker and Carlos Ulberg flexing. Trolls took to the comments section of the photo and started blasting the middleweight champion about his condition.
“Gynosanya is back” – one user noticed, and the comments kept on piling on. Instagram users called him Tittysanya, Gynobender, and Boobsanya amongst other names.
When an issue like this happens, when some professional athlete is accused of steroid use, the only certified source to break off the rumors is USADA. This time, same as last time, USADA gave clearance to Israel Adesanya and crushed the rumors. So, yes. It is very very highly unlikely that the Stylebender is on the juice.
Back in 2020, Israel Adesanya fought off the rumors for the first time. Then he addressed his excessive weed use as the potential cause for his gynecomastia. He said that he had been living very unhealthy and he has been “smoking too much weed”.
USADA backs this up now, as well as the previous time when people accused him of using performance-enhancement drugs. They informed the public that the Stylebender never tested positive in his professional career. In addition, they awarded him the ‘fifty clean tests USADA jacket’, for passing a milestone of 50 drug tests.
The steroid use accusations have more to them. Rumors told that Israel Adesanya won’t leave anything to luck and that he wants to secure that win against Alex Pereira – no matter what. That’s why UFC fans thought he even reached onto steroids. However, as it turns out Adesanya is smarter than that. He is not to destroy his long reign on the UFC middleweight throne by taking PEDs.
Finally, this is maybe the most important fight of his career. He has a history with Pereira, and it is highly unlikely that he wants to cheat. It’s not about cheating the world, most importantly, it’s about not cheating himself. It is certain that he wants this win straight.
