From the moment Braun Strowman returned to WWE, everyone knew the match that was coming. During his time away from the company, a new giant stepped onto his yard – that being Omos. Tonight, they meet in a battle of the giants, which is certain to be an incredible showcase of super heavyweights. Omos is bigger, but Strowman is more agile – making this one a true toss up.
Braun Strowman Wins Battle Of The Giants
These two giants would hit the ring and the crowd was in awe. However, Strowman would look up at Omos as this match began, and the hand of Omos would cover the face of Strowman. The test of strength would be accepted, and Strowman was forced into the corner.
Omos would throw Strowman around the ring, before kicking him in the ribs. A one armed body slam would follow, before Omos would hit some forearm smashes in the corner – all while talking trash. Strowman took this one to the floor and tried the running shoulder tackle, with Strowman bouncing off Omos.
Back in the ring, Strowman would manage to hit the Running Powerslam, and that was enough to get the victory. The crowd in the arena enjoyed this match, but beyond an impressive feat of strength from Strowman at the end, this match was not a good showing for either man.
The Usos Move To 475+ Days As Champions Ahead Of Match With The New Day
The Usos are the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, having unified the Smackdown Tag Team Championships with the RAW Tag Team Championships earlier this year. Since then, they’ve been fighting champions – but hardly brawling ones. Tonight that changes, as they look to defend against The Brawling Brutes – Butch & Ridge Holland. At Extreme Rules alongside Sheamus they were able to defeat Imperium, beat Sami Zayn & Solo Sikoa recently on Smackdown Live, and tonight they look to take some gold away from The Bloodline.
Butch started with Jimmy Uso, hitting a snap German Suplex before stomping the hands – but Jimmy rolled out of the ring to avoid a roundhouse kick. The Usos would plan to get DQ’d to retain without a match, before Butch hit a flying knee strike. Back in the ring, Jey would gain control with some punches in the corner, with Jimmy able to keep the pressure on.
Butch was able to hit a tornado DDT, with Holland desperate for a tag on the apron. He’d get it, hitting some running shoulder tackles. Tilt a whirl slam would follow, before both Usos were tossed with a stalling back body drop. On the floor, the hand of Jimmy would be stomped into the steel steps – before a spin out side slam on Jey in the ring for a two count.
Holland would keep the beating coming before taking a superkick. Butch rushed Jey with an enziguri, before being struck down. Jimmy soared in and ended up in a triangle choke. Jey would make the save, before the Uso Crazy Double Splash – with Holland able to break the pinfall up. White Noise would get a near fall in the ring, before Butch fell to a Super 1 D for the finish.
