Back at Royal Rumble earlier this year, Bobby Lashley got a victory over Brock Lesnar – putting their record at 1-0 in favour of Lashley. That would not work for someone as proud as Lesnar. So Lesnar would cost Lashley the WWE United States Championship, and a series of brawls would come on episodes of Monday Night RAW. Now, they meet one on one in Saudi Arabia as part of Crown Jewel – and this time, Lashley intends to do it without outside interference like in January, when Paul Heyman would effectively screw Lesnar and hand the win to
Brock Lesnar Gets A Lucky Pinfall To Scrape Past Bobby Lashley
Lashley would be on the offensive before the bell even rang, shoving Lesnar into the steel steps before nailing a series of vicious spears – including one through the barricade. Lesnar would be able to kick out in the ring after the barrage, before hitting some of his signature German Suplexes. He was already limping, but was able to loosen up and recover as he moved on the offensive.
F5 would be delivered to Lashley, but he was able to kick out – and drove Lesnar out to the floor with a lariat. Lashley would shoulder Lesnar, before running him into the ring post before a one armed spinebuster in the ring. Hurt Lock would be signalled, and Lesnar would be forced into the submission in the middle of the ring.
Lesnar would manage to keep in the fight, using the corner to push himself down into a pinfall – able to get the three count, using the submission of Lashley to his advantage. It’s not often you can say a man like Lesnar got lucky, but that’s the case here – having scrapped pastThe Almighty here tonight. After the bell, Lashley would apply the Hurt Lock once again – adding some extra pain.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships Defended For First Time In Saudi Arabia
Recently, we’d see Asuka & Alexa Bliss win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships from Dakota Kai & Iyo Sky on an episode of Monday Night RAW. Tonight, Sky & Kai are looking to prove that was simply an off night, as they meet Asuka & Bliss with the gold on the line here tonight at Crown Jewel.
Bliss would start alongside Kai, having her wrist snatched before slipping free and whipping Kai into the corner. Kai would block a tornado DDT attempt, but was caught with an arm drag into a pinfall for a two count. Bliss would be pulled throat first into the middle rope, before Sky hit the ring – trading blows with Asuka.
A double hip attack took the challengers off the apron, before Sky & Kai was able to shove Asuka from the top rope down to the floor. The leg of Asuka would give her some problems, and a Dragon Screw leg whip did not help the situation. Asuka would be able to find some fight, hitting a combination bulldog and neckbreaker before tagging in Bliss.
Bliss would ground Kai for the knee strikes before a tornado DDT got a two before Sky broke the pinfall up. Code Red on Sky would follow, getting another near fall. Twisted Bliss was stopped by Sky getting to her on the top rope, with Kai looking to make it a double superplex before Asuka brought the Tower of Doom down. Asuka hit a codebreaker on Kai, before a German Suplex for a two count.
Bliss got distracted by Sky going for Twisted Bliss, allowing Kai to counter. Sky would take a pop up knee on the floor, as Bliss hit the Twisted DDT before Nikki Cross would sneak in, cost her former partner the match – and Kai pinned to regain the titles.
