Ricky Starks had a chance to take the AEW World Championship and Dynamite Diamond ring away from MJF, but would fail to take him down due to a blatant low blow from the champion.. Tonight, we hear from Ricky Starks – and find out what the next moves from The Absolute One will be.

Ricky Starks Gets An Offer From Chris Jericho

With a microphone in hand, Starks said it would be nice to be standing in the ring as the new World Champion – but that’s not how things worked. Atleast he lost like a man, while MJF won like a coward. He can stand with respect and dignity, two things MJF will never have.

Starks would say that while MJF won that battle, the war isn’t over – it’s only just begun. If he needs to climb back to the top, Starks just needs AEW to line them up again so he can knock them down once again. The music of Chris Jericho would hit, flanked by Daniel Garica & Sammy Guevara – just one week removed from the upset of the century when Action Andretti would defeat Jericho.

Jericho has been watching Starks for a long time now, and he came so close to winning the World Championship. He’s a million dollar talent, and will be a World Champion someday, but he’s not ready yet. Jericho doesn’t want Starks to be a passing trend, he wants him to be a major star – and with some influence and advice, he could get to that level – and Jericho is willing to help.

Starks has a chance to join the Jericho Appreciation Society, and he’d say while he appreciates how Jericho is able to stay relevant. He’d say Jericho’s offer is tempting, but he’ll say hell no to that offer.

He’d say the J in JAS might as well stand for jobbers, because this faction has done nothing of note in AEW. Jericho’s done nothing for Garcia & Guevara, and Starks won’t be sucked in. Finally Starks would call out Jericho for a match on January 4th. Andretti would help to save Starks from a four on one attack, and the ring would be cleared.

Death Triangle Can Close Out The Best Of Seven Series Tonight

The Elite are sick of losing their matches to Death Triangle due to being hit with a hammer, and their solution was simple. Make the hammer legal, and all other weapons legal as well. Match five of their ‘Best of Seven Series’ will be contested under No DQ rules – and with Death Triangle leading the series 3-1, another loss for The Elite means this is over, and Death Triangle will remain the AEW World Trios Champions.

With the pressure on The Elite, they’d kick this match off with a braw – ending with an attempt at triple powerbombs, only for Death Triangle to slip free and hit superkicks to send The Elite from the ring. A trio of dives would follows, before Nick Jackson would be isolated in the ring for some running splashes. Nick was able to avoid Penta, before Cutler & Nakazawa would get into the action – before Fenix would drop Matt with a missile dropkick.

Omega would hit the slam dunk, before taking a trash can to the face from Penta. He’d take a flying dropkick to the tailbone, with the trash can used for extra damage. Matt would take a triangle dropkick from the champions, before Nick would use his speed to hit the facebuster on PAC before a moonsault on Fenix.

Penta would run Nick down on the floor with a slingblade, before Fenix went under the ring for more weapons. A table would be grabbed, and Penta would grab a Christmas tree from the stage. The fans would start a loud Christmas Tree chant, as Penta set it up in the corner of the ring.

The Elite Stay In The Fight

Omega would be sent into the unforgiving needles of the artificial pine tree, with Nick following. Fenix would try to stop it from falling, before Penta propped it back up with Matt being thrown in next. Nick would come off the top rope with a crossbody, before a rising knee to the face of PAC.

Fenix would be folded with a superkick, before Nick missed one on PAC – hitting a steel chair instead. His ankle was hurt in the match last week, and PAC would look to Pillmanize it tonight. Omega would make the save using the trash can lid – as Matt took out the Lucha Bros with a moonsault to the floor.

PAC would be hit with the Rolling Fireman’s Carry, before using the trash can to add some damage to the moonsault. A barbed wire wrapped broom would be pulled out from the ring, a favorite weapon of The Cleaner. Fenix would be nailed with it twice, before the Kotoro Crusher put him into the Barbed Wire face first.

PAC & Penta would be put on the tables at ringside, and Young Bucks would take them out with dives from the top rope. Tiger Driver ‘98 would spike Fenix on the broom, but it was only a two count. BTE Trigger was prevented by Alex Aberhantes, with Fenix instead falling to the V-Trigger. One Winged Angel would be blocked into a hurricarana, before Fenix got the hammer and knocked Omega silly.

Somehow, Omega would kick out, before Brutalizer would be applied using tinsel for extra damage. Matt would be able to make the save, before Omega would hit the Snap Dragon Suplex, and the Indytaker from The Young Bucks would finish this.
