Jon Moxley has been a different man since losing the AEW World Championship to MJF at Full Year 2022. The betrayal of William Regal has made him angry, and has left Moxley looking for fights with everyone – especially Hangman Page. Page was injured by Moxley in their first encounter earlier this year, and has not yet been cleared to return to the ring – but could get there soon. Moxley has a chance to speak tonight, and likely has a lot to say.
Jon Moxley Tells Hangman Page Where To Find Him On January 11th
With Tony Schiavone helping remind Moxley of the status of Page, Moxley would have a chance to speak. It’s been a hell of a few years in AEW, with two men standing above all the rest – beating everyone but each other. Jon Moxley & Hangman Page. They knew they’d meet eventually, and they would prove who the Ace of AEW was.
Moxley was the last man standing, hitting Page so hard he didn’t know his sons name. Page woke up in a hospital bed, while Moxley slept like a baby. This is because Blackpool Combat Club trains harder than anyone, and doesn’t care what happens to their opponents. So Page is hurt? Moxley has been hurt for ten years, get over it and do your damn job.
If Page wants Moxley on January 11th? Get cleared, and Moxley will be there waiting to put him on the shelf. Moxley will remind everyone how tough this business can be, and Page better keep his hands up this time.
Jade Cargill Moves To 46-0
It’s hard to deny that 2022 has been an incredible year for Jade Cargill. She started the year by winning the newly introduced TBS Championship, and no one has been able to take it from her this year. The likes of Tay Melo, Nyla Rose, Athena and more have all tried – but no one has been able to defeat Cargill. One thing that has helped are The Baddies, originally being Red Velvet & Kiera Hogan. Leila Grey would fill in for an injured Velvet, and ultimately replaced Hogan. Tonight, Hogan gets a chance at revenge – as she faces Cargill for the TBS Championship.
Hogan would try to take Cargill down to the mat as this match began, but Cargill held her ground. Cargill would look for a delayed vertical suplex – with Hogan able to block into a Small Package for a two count. Hogan would be dropped with a big chokeslam, a new move to the ever growing arsenal of Cargill.
On the floor, Cargill would hit a European Uppercut before driving Hogan into the barricade until this match risked ending in a count out. Back in the ring, Cargill keep the pressure on – choking Hogan with a boot in the corner. Hogan would look for a crossbody, only to be caught – but was able to avoid a powerslam.
Cargill would hit the Pump Kick, and Hogan was able to kick out and roll to the floor to recover. Lelia Grey would hold Hogan back, but Velvet would stop Cargill from striking. Back in the ring, Cargill would be hit with a bulldog and some rushing hip attacks. Buzzsaw Kick and a superkick would follow, before Hogan looked for the killshot – but the crossbody got two. Jaded would follow, and that’s 46-0.
