Darby Allin has a chance to start 2023 in a huge way, as he has a second chance to take down Samoa Joe to claim the TNT Championship. Tonight, we hear from Allin & his mentor Sting as 2022 comes to a close. Getting a match against Joe in his hometown of Seattle, a town that doubted his path to becoming a professional wrestler.
He listened to those doubts, and they nearly killed him. Now, he gets a chance to once again be the TNT Champion, prove his hometown wrong, and find out if anyone believes in him. Allin doesn’t even think Sting believes in him, but Sting doesn’t want to answer – as he doesn’t want Allin to lose the chip on his shoulder. Joe is a killer, and having doubts going into that match won’t help Allin win. It doesn’t matter what the fans think, Sting thinks, Joe thinks – it’s about what ALLIN thinks.
