Samoa Joe can call himself the ‘King of Television’ all he wants, but it won’t help him avoid the challenge of Wardlow for much longer. Tonight, Wardlow looks to send a message to the TNT Champion – as he goes one on one with Exodus Prime.
Wardlow Claims Another Victim With The Powerbomb Symphony, The King of Television Speaks
Prime is making his AEW debut, and after the upset win from Action Andretti – anything is possible. Wardlow would absorb a headbutt from Prime and nail one of his own. Wind up lariat would follow, before the Powerbomb Symphony would begin.
Prime took the first powerbomb, and a second was not far behind. Wardlow would hit a third, before finally finishing the match with a fourth. Prime didn’t stand a chance, and Wardlow would ask for a microphone.
Samoa Joe claimed Wardlow had to wait his turn, but Wardlow is ready to fight. Joe was asked to come and fight, but you don’t demand the King of Television to do anything. Wardlow got the date – and it will be December 28th. The King has spoken, and Wardlow gets a late Christmas present.
Dustin Rhodes Brings Some Best Friends Into Battle
Orange Cassidy was not able to completely solve his issues with Kip Sabian last week, being attacked after his hard fought title defense against Trent Seven. Dustin Rhodes would make the save, and tonight will join Best Friends for a massive eight man tag team match. Rounding out Sabian’s side are The Butcher & The Blade, who can be trusted to remain loyal so long as their checks cash before the match begins.
Beretta would kick things off with Seven, a battle of the Trents. Seven would hit a chop, and Beretta responded with some forearms to the face. Bop & Bang would catch Beretta, before OC & Sabian would hit the ring. OC would send Sabian to the floor, before The Bunny & Penelope Ford formed a human wall to stop OC from hitting a dive.
In the floor, Butcher would land Beretta with a back body drop – before tossing him into a knee strike to the ribs from Blade. Beretta would find himself isolated in the wrong corner of the ring, taking stiff strikes from all comers – before he’d be spiked with a DDT from Seven for a two count. Diving crossbody from OC would follow a tag, before Butcher & The Blade set up a sidewalk slam into a leg drop.
One Big Win For The Natural
Sabian would stomp OC in the middle of the ring, before Blade would choke OC on the bottom rope as Ford & Bunny berated him. Danhausen would threaten to curse them, as OC would hit the Stundog Millionaire in the middle of the ring. Rhodes would get the tag, taking down Seven with a throat thrust before hitting Butcher, Blade & Sabian with snap powerslams.
Jabs into the bionic elbow would follow, with Butcher & Blade saving the match. Drag The Lake would land on OC in the middle of the ring, before Beretta sent them to the floor and Best Friends took flight to the floor. Arabian Moonsault from Sabian took out Best Friends, before Rhodes hit a cannonball senton off the apron.
OC would fake a low blow from The Bunny, getting her and Ford kicked out of the ringside area. Sabian would low blow Danhausen, before a pop up knee strike to OC. Taylor would hit the high knee to the jaw, before Seven hit a top rope Emerald Flowsion for a two count – Rhodes break the pinfall up. Rhodes would hit a Canadian Destroyer on Sabian, setting up Shattered Dreams in the corner. OC nailed the Orange Punch, before Rhodes got the win with the running bulldog.
