When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left their dark-coloured SUV for the 2022 Robert F Kennedy Human Rights Ripple of Hope Award gala on Tuesday, 6th December 2022, Harry exited the vehicle before his spouse and provided assistance.
A video that has been widely shared on Twitter shows Harry ensuring that Meghan was sheltered from the rain by offering her an umbrella as she walked into the building.
Harry had on a navy-coloured suit and necktie that contrasted his white shirt, while the Duchess of Sussex had a white dress. She finished her outfit with her gold earrings and high-heeled shoes. With that being said, Harry was praised for going out of his way.
One person wrote: “Harry wants to touch his wife, the other Royal couple can’t wait to get away from each other, H&M has chemistry love their love language.”
While the other person stated: “No one is Meghan’s best security guard than her own loving husband.” At the gathering hosted by Alec Baldwin, the pair were praised alongside the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the late basketball star Bill Russell for their efforts to secure and progress fairness, justice, and human rights.
There had been a lot of criticism towards the couple receiving an award. This was on the grounds that they allegedly wanted to keep themselves away from media intrusion. And yet, this ceremony did anything but that.
That is why some observers on social media were not too pleased. The following comments confirmed as much: “I thought they wanted a private life and to get away from the spotlight? Seems they are seeking it out.”
