Vince McMahon is one of the most important people in the history of professional wrestling, and that can’t be argued. He accomplished so much more than anyone before him that he deserves all the respect in the world for his accomplishments.
Despite that, over the years various stories have come out from former talent that showed McMahon more of a ruthless businessman than anything else as he destroyed the territories by buying up all the top talent and forcing them to sell or close down.
Fans Start Petition to Keep Vince McMahon Away from the WWE
Bret Hart as talked about how McMahon made a deal with Stu Hart to purchase Stampede wrestling, but never paid a dime. He just wanted the talent under his contract.
The stories go on and on and they’re typical of what we’ll often hear of dealing between large companies during their struggle to survive.
But over the past summer, he resigned from the WWE during an investigation of him allegedly using company funds to pay hush money for various sexual encounters.
Other allegation came out accusing him of rape and sexual assault, so when rumors came out that McMahon told some close to him that he wanted to return to the WWE.

Not so fast
After he left, the WWE made a smooth transition and has improved greatly since Triple H took over WWE Creative and Stephanie McMahon and Nick Kahn took over and co-CEOs.
There have been reports that the talent and other employees enjoy it more now and the fans enjoy the new direction.
Some even went so far as to create a petition looking to keep McMahon from returning to the WWE.
“Vincent Kennedy McMahon earlier this year was entangled in be a web of deceit and scandal. He was put under investigation which involved money and women. This image could’ve forever stained the company and brand known as WWE. He decided to step down in every aspect of his position. Since his departure from the company, employment has increased, revenue has increased and overall enjoyment and become a watchable product again in grand scale. Vince McMahon stepped down so his company and brand can thrive which under his daughter Stephanie McMahon and Paul Levesque has done so ten fold. Keeping Mr. McMahon away is best for his business. Help us achieve by showing we don’t need him running the show anymore. The WWE company and brand has proven to be in good hands. Let’s keep it that way. I mean this with all due respect to what the McMahon family has done in sports entertainment.”
