Before Vince McMahon retired, it seemed that a lot of talent had little to no intention of going back to the WWE is they were offered the chance after they were unceremoniously released.
The budget cut releases between 2020 and 2021 were curious given the company made a billion dollars off their streaming deal with Peacock for the WWE Network, but it’s what businesses tend to do.
Is Deonna Purrazzo Heading to WWE?
They downplay their resources to ensure they stay around and it gives them a sense of stability, but it does little to comfort those that lost their livelihoods.
Those releases revitalized the Indie and other companies that were left scrapping by after the WWE scooped up all the talent similar to the company’s surge in the 1980s.
But now with Triple H running things, those same stars are coming back to the WWE with Chelsea Green being the latest.
Following December 1’s IMPACT!, Deonna Purrazzo tweeted Chelsea Green asking if she has room at home for her.
Hey @ImChelseaGreen, you got room at home for me?

It’s referring to the WWE as it’s been reported Green’s going to return to the company. Going home was also what Green referenced after Mickie James defeated her.
With Purrazzo’s loss to James on December 1, could that signal the end of her time in Impact Wrestling?
Contract talks
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Purrazzo is in “a unique situation” in regards to her current contract.
Her deal with Impact reported ends at the end of 2022, and the two sides are going to be negotiating a new deal, as reported by Sapp in August.

According to sportzwiki.com he recently updated his report on Fightful. Special thanks to Sportsziki for the transcript.
“Deonna Purrazzo has a bit of a more unique situation. Originally, Purrazzo’s contract is set to expire at the end of 2022. As a result, we’re told that Purrazzo and IMPACT Wrestling are set to actively discuss her future in the company, and more specifically the 2023 year. Sources familiar with the situation indicated that IMPACT believes they hold an option year, but it isn’t clear cut.”
Purrazzo began working with Impact Wrestling without a contract for a few months and even became Knockouts Champion during that time, and even got a pay raise that extended her contract later on.
She’s reportedly happy with the company for giving her a chance to show her skill, but it’s also been reported that working on the main brands in the WWE is a dream for her, and after she was released on April 15, 2020 there’s unfinished business for her there.
As one of the top wrestlers in the world, she’s going to have plenty of options and her tweet may be part of her negotiation process.
