It is projected that Prince Harry will traverse a massive media campaign to publicize his confessional memoir, Spare, prior to its launch in the upcoming year.
Prince Harry In Line For A 60 Minutes Interview With Anderson Cooper-‘This Will Be Oprah 2.0’
Reports indicate that he will be having a sit-down interview with Anderson Cooper, as part of his ‘60 Minutes’ show on Saturday, 8th January 2023. This will be vital to getting some more PR in the hope that Harry’s book flies off the shelves.
Not only that, but it will hope to maintain the momentum that has gathered following Meghan Markle’s ‘Archetypes’ podcast and the couple’s Netflix docuseries.
And by the look of it, Cooper has been left impressed with Harry since they do have a lot in common. Cooper has advocated for enhanced mental health much like Harry through his role as a Chief Impact Officer with the company, BetterUp.
Not only that, but Cooper has experienced losing a loved one in traumatic circumstances. His brother, Carter, committed suicide after jumping out of an apartment in 1988.
Meanwhile, Harry lost his mother, Princess Diana, when he was very young following the car accident in Paris, France. And on top of that, Cooper has been in Afghanistan as a reporter, where Harry just so happened to serve in the British military.
With that being said, Cooper and Harry appear to be a good match for an interview. A source said the following: “Mr Cooper has won Harry’s trust.
“This would be a coup for Mr Cooper and fits well with Harry’s campaign to promote mental health. It is a prime-time Sunday show which hosts foreign leaders and presidents.”
The fans on social media were not expecting the interview to set the world alight. And in the process, they were adamant that Cooper would shy away from asking anything contentious.
One person wrote: “I doubt that the American interviewers will ask any hard-hitting questions and any probing questions. This will be Oprah 2.0. What a joke!”
