In Kenya, the details of a man shot at the Mariakani Barracks have come out but there are still questions about the motives of the deceased. On December 9, 2022 Juma Kitsao Kombe (25) approached the barracks that morning and a guard at the entry ordered him to turn around and leave the area and fired a shot in the air.
The Kenya Army’s Military Police Releases Details About Local Man Shot At Barracks – Believed to Have Been Bewitched By Witch Doctor to Commit Crimes
When Kombe didn’t leave, the guard gunned the man down, shooting him in the neck. His mother later arrived to identify him. The 25-year-old was believed to have been involved in several crimes including drug trafficking, murder, and robbery.
Authorities also believe that a witch doctor put the idea in his head that if he snuck up on the guard while naked and using the back entrance, the guard will simply fall asleep. Thus, there would be no eyes on him while he sneaks inside the barracks and steal the weapons.
Again, that’s the police’s working theory as to why Kombe approached the 77 Artillery Battalion’s barracks. Currently, the police are still looking into this case.
What do you believe was the suspect’s motive for approaching the barracks? Also, what do you think of the police’s witch doctor theory? Let us know down below!
