Sunny Hostin, who happens to be a co-host on ‘The View,’ has slammed the Royal Family following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s docuseries.
The View’s Sunny Hostin Slams Royal Family For Failing To Deal With Harry And Meghan’s Racism Concerns-‘That Racist Country Was Against Her’
Her comments arrived on the back end of the show’s co-star, Alyssa Farah Griffin, slamming the pair. This was on the basis that the Sussexes came across as very entitled since their problems appeared first-world in comparison to people who are genuinely struggling.
After all, they do live in a multi-million mansion in Montecito, California. And yet, those comments did not resonate with Hostin. She made it clear that the couple were aggrieved by the racism they had suffered which was not addressed by those who should have.
In her comments, Hostin said: “I think what they went through in terms of how racist that family was against her, in terms of how that racist country was against her, that’s something that King Charles can handle and can take care of, and he seems not to be able to do that.”
Nevertheless, not everyone agreed with those comments. Joy Behar made it clear that the couple were simply doing this for publicity which would then generate money.
This was on the grounds that Harry is aware of the treatment the media had done to his late mother, Princess Diana. Therefore, by speaking out and taking on the media, that would not make the press intrusion go away.
In her comments, Joy remarked: “You would think after his mother was basically a victim of the paparazzi and all of the attention she got all over the place that he would shy away from all of that.”
The social media response was mixed. While some agreed that the Sussexes were entitled to put their side of the story across, others argued that the accusations of racism were being exploited. One person wrote: “The race card is abused and overused.”
