With the good must come the bad and even though there weren’t many bad things on this week’s AEW Dark, there are was some sore spots. Remember that these are my opinions. Here are your weekly bad parts from AEW Dark.
The Bad from AEW Dark
The announcers told us that this is Dr. Britt Baker’s first match on AEW Dark. I could tell when she came out, that she was a big deal and compared to many of the women that appears on Dark and Elevation, she seemed like she was in another lane.
This being said, she is on the bad side for a reason. First of all, for who she is, she shouldn’t be having a close to 8-minute match against someone with a 0-1 record on a C show.
This is the same thing that I said when Kenny Omega was on the show two or three weeks ago. I understand that it’s something that the fans want to see, but I still don’t think the match should be this long.
Also, past this, I don’t think that the match was good at all. I was pretty bored with it. For someone that the crowd loved seeing, I think that they didn’t care about the match at all.
I am not going to take up too much time, I didn’t enjoy the Dark Order match. The fans love them, so they need credit for that, but personally, past John Silver, I don’t like seeing them at all.
Something that I noticed about AEW that needs to change is that many of the women, especially the ones that be on Dark and Elevation, have absolutely terrible finishing moves.
I am not sure who it is that gives these women the ok to do these moves, but they need to have that power removed from them. I know that the safety of the women is the top priority, but I saw two terrible looking finishers in two matches back-to-back.
I don’t mind Brittany J losing to that terrible move because her opponent is new, but Madison Rayne should be ashamed of herself work beating poor Kaci Lennox with that horrible looking move. Kaci should’ve asked for a redo.
