King Charles III has seen his first cousin Maxmilian, Margrave of Baden, pass away at the age of 89.

According to reports, he was the nephew of Prince Philip and died at Schloss Salem located close to Lake Constance in Germany. He had been married to Archduchess Valerie of Austria since the year 1966.
During the course of that process, the pair had managed to raise four children. He will be honored with two commemorative services, one for his close relatives and another for his staff and supporters.
In an official statement on behalf of the family, a representative said the following: “Max Margrave of Baden died in the early morning hours of December 29, 2022 in Salem Castle.
“His successor as head of the House of Baden is Bernhard Margrave of Baden, the previous hereditary prince.” Max Markgraf von Baden, who was born in 1933, was raised close to Lake Constance in Germany.
When the Second World War concluded, he was sent to the Gordonstoun boarding school in Scotland, a place that was attended by King Charles III and Prince Philip.
His passing marks another death with those connected to the firm. Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II this year, there was a monumental shift in the outlook of the firm as the new monarch, Charles, decided to streamline it further.
The response on social media was far from sympathetic, though. This was on the basis that people felt Maxmilian was not the most well-known member associated with royalty. Therefore, the comments towards him were very brutal.
One person wrote: “Absolutely irrelevant. A minor German “royal” when Germany no longer has any nobility or royals any more,” while another person stated: “First cousin was Margrave of Baden.
