Reporter Dan Wootton labeled Prince Harry the ‘Duke of Delusion’ after claiming that the 38-year-old was trying to “blackmail” the Royal Family.
Prince Harry Branded A Blackmailer-‘Duke Of Delusion,’ Says Dan Wootton
His recently published autobiography ‘Spare’ includes discussions about his life as part of the firm, as well as some claims about members of the family such as Prince William, King Charles III, and Queen Consort Camilla.
After the book was released, Harry demanded an apology from the Royal Family for the way in which Meghan Markle had been treated. In an interview, Harry said: “You know what you did, and I now know why you did it.
“And you’ve been caught out, so just come clean.” Those comments did not sit very well with Dan for the following reasons. First of all, there can only be a reconciliation if there is acknowledgment of fault on both sides.
And until that happens, there is unlikely to be any compromise. Secondly, Dan was of the view that Harry had come across as trying to pressure the firm in order to get his own way.
In response to Harry’s remarks, Dan stated: “Forgive us for spilling your biggest secrets and darkest moments, laced with the most grotesque criticism to which you can’t respond, to the highest bidder – or there’s even worse to come.
“That was the twisted threat from Prince Harry briefed personally.” The fans on social media were outraged by Harry’s comments.
Large numbers of people were of the view that this was going to backfire on Harry, which is why people began to point the fingers at Meghan Markle.
One person wrote: “OMG…. How stupid is Harry, can he not see he’s being played by his nasty, narcissist wife who will dump him soon once he’s served his purpose.”
It is fair to say that Harry has some way to go before he can win the public’s opinion. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
