In his book “Spare”, Prince Harry explained the heated exchange of messages between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle about the outfits for their bridesmaids.
Prince Harry Exposes Kate Middleton’s Messages About The Bridesmaid Dresses Saga
He mentioned that Kate was not happy with the dress chosen for Princess Charlotte and communicated her dissatisfaction in the text messages.
In his book, Harry recalled Kate saying the following: “Charlotte’s dress is too big, too long, too baggy. She cried when she tried it on a home,” as Kate apparently replied: “Right, and I told you the tailor has been standing by since 8am.
“Here. At KP. Can you take Charlotte to have it altered, as the other mums are doing?” Instead of consenting to any changes, it is said that Kate insisted that “all of the dresses must be remade” and she even consulted with her wedding dressmaker, who concurred with her.
Meghan reportedly sought to help Kate comprehend the strain she was experiencing by inquiring if she was conscious of the commotion surrounding her dad, Thomas Markle. Kate replied that she had been, and yet, this did not prevent the saga from dying down.
Harry relayed a more detailed account of the matter than what his wife Meghan Markle disclosed during their televised chat with Oprah Winfrey earlier this year.
The reports had been that Meghan had made Kate Middleton weep prior to the wedding, yet Meghan clarified during the interview that it was, in fact, the other way around.
The fans on social media trolled Harry about the information that he was disclosing. A certain subset of people were of the view that he had been complaining over trivial matters, which is why the comments towards him were brutal.
One person wrote: “Next he’ll be telling the awful story about the time William got more sprinkles on his ice cream cone. I guess that’s coming out in the next book.”
