The 38-year-old Duke of Sussex recalled the fervent reunion of the two in London after being away from each other for a few weeks in the summer of 2016.
He noted that the rendezvous was on the same day as the commemoration of Princess Diana’s passing, and they spent the night at one of the Soho House’s branches.
In his comments, Harry wrote: “I want to say we hung a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door. But I don’t think there was time.”
Harry remembered how Meghan had informed him to meet her at the Soho House where she was staying. Harry reported that Meghan flew to London to join him on the day of the anniversary of his late mother, Diana’s death.
Meghan sent him a message while he was placing flowers on his late mother’s resting place, letting him know that she had arrived in the United Kingdom. Afterwards, Harry drove back to London and reunited with Meghan.
She had instructed him to find a hidden entrance to the hotel and take a cargo elevator, and there he encountered a friend of hers named Vanessa who guided him to Meghan’s hotel room.
When she opened the door, Harry recalled how her arms were outstretched to embrace him. He added: “She pulled me inside and thanked her friend in one fluid motion, then slammed the door quickly before anyone saw.”
The social media response was damning. A certain subset of people could not understand why Harry would disclose intimate parts of his love life to the whole world.
One person wrote: “For god sake, that’s private. We don’t want to know,” while another person stated: “That’s way too much information! Is a reality show in the works?”
