When Prince William and Kate Middleton exited the Open Door Charity event on Thursday, 12th January 2023, a reporter attempted to question the Prince had seen the content of Prince Harry’s book, “Spare,” but the inquiry was ignored.
Prince William Blanks Reporter Who Asked If He Has Read Harry’s Memoir
In the video here, we can see that the couple are exiting the building. The reporter could then be heard saying the following comments: “Your Royal Highness, have you had a chance to read your brother’s book at all?”
William was completely silent to the inquiry and left the charity swiftly with Kate, who did not take notice of the question either. Their visit to the Open Door Charity in Birkenhead, England, was their second trip since the publication of Harry’s book.
The couple also went to the newly constructed Royal Liverpool University Hospital and conversed with the personnel and learned about the medical institution.
Middleton and William, aged forty-one and forty respectively, seemed happy and content in spite of the allegations made against them and other royals in the Duke of Sussex’s memoir.
In the book, Harry stated that William had become physically aggressive towards him after referring to Meghan Markle, as ‘difficult,’ ‘rude’ and ‘abrasive.’
In his book, Harry remarked: “It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor.
“I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out.”
The fans on social media supported the response by the Prince of Wales. This had the impact of minimising any further damage that may have been done by Harry’s memoir.
One person wrote: “William did exactly the right thing ignoring the question. Don’t engage, don’t acknowledge, just carry on. MEghan is waiting for a reaction.”
