After making a successful in-ring return in 2022, Saraya is looking to make the most of 2023 in the ring. She’s already made her Dynamite in-ring debut for All Elite Wrestling in a tag team match, and is looking at a potential chance to face Jamie Hayter for the AEW Women’s World Championship. However, her ambitions aren’t limited to just the women’s division, as Saraya wants to fight Chris Jericho.
Saraya Wants To Kick Chris Jericho’s Ass
While speaking with DJ Whoo Kid, Saraya would be asked about her thoughts on intergender wrestling. She would have the following to say, naming Jericho as a dream opponent.
“It is, but you know, I feel people are really sensitive in this world, currently. It’s really hard to do matches like that without someone being offended by it. I would love to do matches like that.
It writes itself. Ronnie even wanted to become part of it. A storyline, do something against Chris Jericho. He’s such a good bad guy. He plays a very good bad guy, and people love to hate him. I feel Ronnie and Jericho would have a good storyline. I would love to wrestle one of the guys.
If I have to beat up Chris Jericho, Jericho would be up for it. He doesn’t care, he’s a very selfless worker. He’s a good guy. He’ll wrestle anybody and if he has to let somebody win, he’ll be like, ‘Absolutely.’ There is never an ego there. He just wants to help people. I’m like, ‘Let me beat you. Let me beat you up.’ I’m gonna beat the shit out him, he’ll be fine.”
Ronnie Radke is of course the boyfriend of Saraya, known as the lead singer of Falling In Reverse, who provides the AEW theme song of Saraya. Tony Khan unfortunately is not big on the concept of intergender wrestling, only allowing a few instances of it in AEW so far. Saraya vs. Jericho could end up being a big enough match to change the mind of Khan however, if both parties got together to pitch the angle.
