Hulk Hogan started the show off as he came out with “The Mouth of the South Jimmy Hart”. Hearing Real American to kick off Raw is an awesome touch.
He talked about Raw beginning and growing bigger every week amidst some microphone troubles.
An opening montage of Raw’s 30 year history played and we got to see some great moments. It’s the same one they played on Smackdown, but it’s always fun to watch.

Once the opening montage was over, The Bloodline headed to the ring to try Sami Zayn and the crowd’s chants of Sami didn’t really help him. Especially when the chants for Reigns were quieter.
Sami’s defense
Heyman told Reigns ECW was dead, and he wished the same for Zayn and called him a betrayer and conspirator with Kevin Owens since day one.
The first piece of evidence was Zayn running away when Drew McIntyre attacked the Usos, then how he hesitated to hit Owens with a chair and it cost Jey Uso the match, followed by Zayn’s celebration after WarGames and how he bumped into Reigns during a promo.
Next, Zayn defended himself by saying after watching Heyman say all that it hurt, and called out Heyman for being so paranoid and pointed out the fans have seen it all.
He ended it by saying he had no defense.

Reigns lost his cool and told Solo to take care of him, but as Solo was about to hit the Samoan Spike, Jey stopped him.
He then announced that he put together his own footage and the first up was when Zayn played Reigns’ music to distract Riddle.
Next up wias him taking a Claymore to save Reigns against McIntyre, then him taking a chair shot for Solo, followed by him keeping Holland from interfering to save the tag team titles.
Finally, it was during wargames when he grabbed the ref to keep him from counting Reigns down and then hit Owens with a low blow and Helluva Kick for the win.
Jey challenged Reigns to see what’s happening and how Zayn’s taken so many bullets for them all. Despite Jey hating him, Zayn never gave up on him and that’s what family does.
Jey called for a vote to keep Zayn in the Bloodline and he and Jimmy threw up ones. After a delay, Reigns found Zayn not guilty for now.
He told Zayn to thank Jey for buying him more time, and tasked him to finish out the night and make the Bloodline proud and go home until the Royal Rumble where he’ll deliver his final test.
