Even though the card for AEW Dark looks good on paper, there are always complaints and things that they could do better. Here are the bad parts from AEW Dark this week.
The Bad from AEW Dark
I know that people complain about WWE using crowd noise to make their matches seem more exciting than they are.
I think that AEW should consider using it for AEW Dark and Dark Elevation because there are times that the crowd is scarily quiet. I know that AEW Dark isn’t the place that they are really trying to get talent over like that, but it sounds bad for the number 2 company in the world.
The Red Velvet match is the first match that I have to put on bad side. The match itself wasn’t bad at all, I think that it should have been sped up a little bit.
I liked the submission move that Velvet used to finish the match. I wish that more of the women in AEW had finisher moves that actually look good and look painful.
There are times that I think that they are scared to hurt each other if they put some impact into their moves.
This might just be me, but Yuka Sakazaki’s gimmick just don’t do it for me. The fans seem to be into it so that’s all that matter.
For me, it just seems a little campy. It doesn’t help that she weaves it into her matches. In ring, she is good though. She is very athletic and all of her moves look good. I hope that she doesn’t do this stuff in her match with Athena.
On another note, I really like Avery Breaux in this match. She played a heel well and it helped that she was facing someone like Yuka, that the fans liked so much. AEW should think about picking her up if they haven’t already.
