Last night during NJPW Battle In The Valley, we would see a dramatic match between Eddie Kingston & Jay White. Originally just a simple grudge match, the stakes would be raised dramatically as both men would agree to make this a Loser Leaves NJPW match. If Eddie lost, he couldn’t wrestle in NJPW or against NJPW wrestlers without the permission of Jay, and if Jay lost – he was simply gone. Both men would pull out all their tricks in a hard hitting brawl, and in the end – Eddie Kingston would be the man to send Jay White packing from NJPW.
David Finlay Took Away Jay Whites Final Moment In NJPW
Following the match, Jay White would take a moment to soak in the reaction from the crowd, who were shocked to realize this was possibly the last time we ever seen White in a NJPW ring. He wouldn’t get much time to address the crowd however, as he was attacked from behind by an irate David Finlay – who would whack White over the head with his family’s shillelagh.
Finlay would cut a promo about how he is sick of being an outsider everywhere he went, while Jay White was able to rise right to the top of the card. Years of frustration came out, and Finlay would be put on the path to join former tag team partner Juice Robinson as a member of BULLET CLUB – potentially even looking to become leader, with White now officially gone from the company and faction.
The video of this post-match attack and promo can be found at the end of this article.
WWE & AEW Are Both Expected To Extend Contract Offers
While the situation involving David Finlay will likely become more clear during the upcoming New Japan Cup tournament, right now – fans are wondering what will be next in the career of Jay White. He has been part of New Japan Pro Wrestling for many years now, coming through their Young Lion system after being scouted by BULLET CLUB founder and current WWE superstar Finn Balor.
White is going to be considered one of the hottest free agents in professional wrestling right now, with both AEW & WWE likely to make contract offers in the following weeks. AEW has played host to Jay White in the past, and has former rival Kenny Omega on the roster ready to continue their feud. Meanwhile, WWE has the likes of Balor, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows & AJ Styles who have links to White through BULLET CLUB.
Needless to say, Jay White will be a name to keep an eye on as 2023 continues – as he will not waste much time finding his next home in professional wrestling. Where do you want to see Jay White? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
