Jeremy Clarkson’s show, ‘Clarkson’s Farm,’ has become the most watched Amazon Prime Video show in the UK.
Jeremy Clarkson’s Show Breaks Records Despite His Excrement Comments About Meghan Markle
This was a surprise to say the least in light of the recent scandal he had found himself in. Clarkson received extensive backlash for his article in which he revealed that he longed to see Meghan Markle being paraded naked in public, while she had excrement thrown on her face.
While he did apologize in the aftermath, the damage had been done. Not only did his daughter, Emily Clarkson, distance herself from her father, but the apology was made to Prince Harry, even though the Duchess of Sussex was the target of the words.
And yet, Clarkson is still going strong. According to data from the official audience research group, Barb, close to 4.3 million people watched the debut episode of Jeremy Clarkson’s farming program in Season 2.
This number was the biggest that Amazon had seen since Barb began providing streaming viewership stats in November 2021, as reported by Deadline.
It was also greater than the 3.2 million viewers who tuned in to The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power when it premiered in September.
For the period of February 12th, 2023, Clarkson’s Farm was named the sixteenth most viewed program in the UK, beating out well-known programs like The Brit Awards and Love Island.
Episodes two and three of Clarkson’s Farm made it to the list of Barb’s top 50 shows for the week, and they drew in approximately 3.8 million and 3.3 million viewers respectively.
Filming is currently underway for a third season of Clarkson’s Farm. Moreover, a new episode of the Grand Tour is being edited. With that being said, Clarkson isn’t going anywhere.
