NXT Vengeance Day Predictions (Part 1)

NXT Vengeance Day is shaping up to be one of the biggest NXT live events in a long time and I think that there is a reason for this. Look out for big changes to the NXT roster the closer WrestleMania comes and don’t be surprised if some of these matches’ outcomes reflect that.

Katana Chance and Kayden Carter vs Fallon Henley and Kiana James (NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship)

This match seems like a match that could go both ways. On one hand, like the women in Toxic Attraction, Katana and Kayden are the only other true woman tag team in NXT.

I think that it is already a forgone conclusion that Jacy Jane and Gigi Dolin are gone from NXT pretty soon. If this happens, then these two women will be needed to keep the tag division stable until NXT can make some more tag teams.

I think that NXT are doing a decent job at making new tag teams at the moment but I don’t think that they can afford to lose them at the moment.

On the other hand, the women’s tag team division on the main roster is absolutely terrible at the moment. While it would be great to get Toxic Attraction and Katana and Kayden, Katana and Kayden are the ones that has to stay a while longer.

Fallon and Kiana will be tag team champions one day, but Saturday won’t be that day.

Winner: Katana Chance and Kayden Carter

Apollo Crews vs Carmelo Hayes – Two Out of Three Falls Match

This match might be the match of the night. I have seen a lot of both men and on paper, this seems like a great match.

I am not sure if the two out of three falls stipulation is needed but since it is there, It makes me think more that this is going to be one of if not, the last Carmelo Hayes match that we see on NXT.

There really isn’t much more that Carmelo can do in NXT unless he wins the NXT Championship. At this point, I think that Melo is above the title. He has been in NXT for so long and has barely ever gotten the chance to compete for the title.

As for Apollo, I think that he has more to accomplish in NXT. At some point this year, I think that he will win the NXT Championship.

I think that it is possible that we will see an Apollo Crews heel turn during this match. With his promo from the last NXT show, I think that they have a plan for his character moving forward and to see that out, I think that he needs time.

    Winner: Apollo Crews

The New Day vs Gallus vs Pretty Deadly vs Chase U (NXT Tag Team Championship)

I can’t remember a bad fatal four way tag team match. The teams in this match all have a solid fan base and most of them have a lot of experience.

I think that this match was made this way as a way to get the titles off of the New Day without them having to take the fall.

Rumors have it that Pretty Deadly is going to the main roster soon and the New Day are still a main roster tag team. Chase U is a make shift tag team that probably shouldn’t be in the match in the first place.

This leaves one team standing for the winner of the match and new NXT Tag Team Champions. I think that this would be the right way to go because the tag team division on NXT has been stagnate for a long time.

For the amount of tag teams that are on the brand, I don’t think that the division should be in the place that it is in. Gallus will be the tag team that brings the old NXT tag team division back along with Chase U, Schism, Malik and Enofe, Indus Sher, the Creed Brothers and any other tag team they can make.

    Winner: Gallus

2023 Prediction Record: 5-0 (WWE and NXT)
