Paul Burrell, who served as a butler to Princess Diana and was dubbed her “rock”, has vocalized his discontent with Prince Harry.
Paul Burrell Slams Prince Harry As He Battles Prostate Cancer-‘Harry Has Discarded Me, I’m Very Sad’
Burrell, who is currently struggling with prostate cancer, has expressed that he wants to talk with Prince William and Harry about their mom’s life. Last summer, Paul experienced a routine medical examination which uncovered he had cancer.
Paul expressed that his health issue made him think back to the intimate occasions he had with the late Diana, Princess of Wales, when she would reveal her most difficult times.
In his book, Spare, the Duke of Sussex maintained that the former butler was capitalizing on her death when he published his work, A Royal Duty, in 2001.
He stated that he had gotten a parcel from Buckingham Palace, with a memo regarding a sensitive matter. In his book, Harry wrote: “Mummy’s former butler had penned a tell-all which actually told nothing.
“My mother once called this butler a dear friend, trusted him implicitly. We did too. Now this. He was milking her disappearance for money. It made my blood boil.”
That did not go down well with Burrell, as he felt that the Duke of Sussex had merely discarded him. After all, Harry even refused to refer to him by his name, merely branding him as the butler.
His following comments confirmed as much: “(Harry) has discarded me, but he hasn’t thought about all of those years that I spent with his mother, in private, loving her, caring for her, watching out for her.
“I’ve been dismissed and I’m very sad about that.” While that may have been the case, Burrell admitted that Diana would want the brothers to reconcile. And King Charles III’s Coronation may provide an opportunity to do that.
