That is according to royal expert Nile Gardiner. This comment arrives in response to reports that Harry and Meghan’s legal team may be keeping an ‘eye’ on things following South Park’s parody episode of the pair.
The couple were mocked in the episode, The Worldwide Privacy Tour, where the character of Prince of Canada and his wife were wanting privacy, while at the same time, promoting a memoir.
With that being said, Gardiner had a lot to say. In his comments, he said: “Meghan and Harry only approve of free speech if it’s their own. They behave like entitled woke dictators.”
This is entirely understandable for the following reasons. First of all, Harry accused the firm of planting stories about him and Meghan.
But given that a copy of his memoir was not allegedly given to the firm prior to its release, he is doing the same thing that he often criticises, disclosing personal matters in the public.
Secondly, if the Sussexes wanted less media intrusion, then the last thing they should do is publish a memoir. Lastly, in any event, certain parts of the memoir have been called out for being inaccurate, which does not help things.
The response on social media was equally damning. This was on the grounds that the Sussexes had no one to blame but themselves, as they could have chosen to live a quiet life overseas, like they wanted.
One person wrote: “WOKE is a mild term for it. Actually an euphemism for something infamously more worrying.”
While another person stated: “How long is it going to take Prince Hairy and Lacking Sparkle to wake up to the fact they are disliked and non- news.”
