Fans feraed that Nikolas was dead after Ava smashed his head with a statue. With the help of Austin, she stashed the body away at the stables in Wyndemere, but when they returned to the stables to retrieve the body, Nikolas was gone, causing the duo to live in fear.

Turns out Austin’s cousin, Mason, has moved Nikolas to a care facility, and he has been giving his anonymous lady boss updates about Nikolas. This only means that whoever the lady boss is, she is keeping Nikolas alive because she wishes to benefit something from him.
Mason is aware of everything that transpired between Nik, Ava, and Austin. So, his boss most certainly is using this as a leverage against Ava and Austin. On ‘General Hospital’, Austin has been trying to break free of the mob ties, so she probably plans to use this to make him stay. As for Mason, we wonder what he wants from Ava.

If Mason’s boss was Helena Cassadine, she would benefit from having Nik in her corner. After all, she had tried to woo him to her side for years, but he wouldn’t oblige.
As for Austin and Ava, Helena wouldn’t really care about having them do her bidding. It a different story, however, for Olivia. Fans know that Ava and Olivia have been on bad terms for a while.
Olivia took over from Ava as the boss of the syndicate when the latter became a reformed woman. Olivia is in prison, but that doesn’t mean she can’t be the lady boss. After all, we saw Cyrus remote-control his gang from prison on the show.
In fact, this would explain why the lady boss is only available on the phone. Also, Cyrus previously name-dropped Olivia. Fans will most likely see Olivia in the coming episodes of ‘General Hospital’.
She and her sister, Ava, will come face-to-face. She might be planing to use Nikolas’s leverage to make Ava help her get released from jail.
