Meghan Markle is reportedly preparing to launch a significant new project and is shifting her focus to becoming a “full-time influencer.”
Meghan Markle Is Reportedly Looking To Be A ‘Full Time Influencer’
Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, will be sharing her recipe for lemon olive oil cake in chef José Andrés World Central Kitchen’s upcoming cookbook aimed at raising funds for disaster relief efforts.
Elizabeth Logan, a writer for Glamour, speculates that this recipe collaboration could be a subtle way of introducing the revival of Meghan’s blog, The Tig. Logan believes that the cookbook may serve as a “soft launch” for the blog that Meghan used to run.
According to court records, Frim Fram Inc. has filed a trademark application for The Tig, the blog that the royal closed down during her relationship with Prince Harry in 2017.
This suggests that she is considering relaunching the website. On her blog, which no longer exists, Meghan wrote about various topics including her personal life, philanthropic efforts, and passion for food.
In her comments, Elizabeth said: “Her next step into the charity cooking space has us wondering if she’s about to pivot to full-time influencer.
“She’s reasserted herself as a fashion and podcasting icon already, but to truly dominate the lifestyle space, she’ll also need a few signature recipes.”
A survey conducted by Redfield and Wilton for Newsweek has shown that Prince Harry’s net approval rating has declined from -7 percent in January to -10 percent on February 19. Similarly, Meghan’s rating has also fallen by 23 percent since then, having been at -13 percent in January.
Despite that being the case, Meghan let everyone know in no uncertain terms that she was delighted at being able to contribute to the book in her own way.
In an official statement on behalf of the Duchess, a representative stated the following: “The cookbook is a captivating collection of stories and recipes from renowned chefs.
“[And] local cooks, and friends of the global nonprofit, which feeds communities impacted by natural disasters and humanitarian crises.Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex is proud to have contributed a recipe.”
Time will tell if this new venture does work out, but based on what we have seen so far, it is clear that Meghan does need to rebrand.
