We all expected some interesting and kind-of weird details about Prince Harry’s life to be revealed in his memoir. Finally, that is what he advertised when promoting it. It appears that despite prior denials, Prince Harry did cocaine as a teenager.
In his late teens, at an age of 17, Prince Harry allegedly took drugs. At least that was what the tabloids were writing at the time. The outlets presented King Charles III as a single father, trying to manage a ‘wild teenager’. A teenager that occasionally did drugs.
Prince Harry Did Cocaine In His Youth To Feel Different
Now, many years after the airing of the news, Prince Harry brings the story back, confessing to taking drugs. To put it in his words, “of course… I did cocaine around this time.”
The shocking memoir reveals that Prince Harry did cocaine, “at someone’s country house, during a shooting weekend.”
“I’d been offered a line, and I’d done a few more since.” – Prince Harry admits he enjoyed cocaine a couple of times throughout his teenage years. “It wasn’t much fun, and it didn’t make me particularly happy, as it seemed to make everyone around me. But it did make me feel different, and that was the main goal.”
In the memoir, Prince Harry tries to explain how he tried to look and feel different. He wanted to stand out from the royals. He always felt special. Special in a kind of way like an outlaw.
In the shocking memoir, Prince Harry also speaks about losing his virginity. This is a topic that caught the public’s eye. He reveals that he lost his virginity to an older woman behind a bar. He says that the lady liked horses and treated him like a true young stallion.
“It was a quick ride, after which she’d smacked my rump and sent me to grace.” – Prince Harry says.
Prince Harry admits to trying different drugs as well. He mentions that he has numerous experiences with consuming marihuana. He usually did it in his school years, together with his schoolmates.
Prince Harry explains that he had these narcotic-fueled experiences because they helped him to ‘hide’ the panic attacks he had after his mother’s death.
“I was willing to drink, I was willing to take drugs, I was willing to try and do the things that made me feel less like I was feeling.” – Prince Harry explains.
Of course, now the Prince is completely sober and drug-free. As expected, he gives the credit for his condition to his wife, Meghan Markle. She is the one that encouraged him to seek treatment.
