According to royal commentator Omid Scobie, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had to terminate the contract of their nanny in just two days due to an occurrence that happened during the night.
Why Did Harry And Meghan Fire Their Nanny?
Meghan and Harry recently became parents to Archie. Initially, they had been against the idea of hiring a nanny, but when Meghan’s mother, Doria, returned to the US, they decided to reconsider.
Initially, they had a disappointing encounter with the first employee they hired, and their trust in the second worker they recruited was affected due to the former’s inappropriate conduct.
In his book, Finding Freedom, Scobie said: “They decided to hire a night nurse to establish a sleep schedule and be an extra pair of helping hands.
“But their time with the couple brief. Meghan and Harry were forced to let the nurse go in the middle of her second night for being unprofessional and irresponsible.”
Even though they had encountered a negative experience, Meghan and Harry chose to engage a different nanny. Their second one did an acceptable job, but the original occurrence left them feeling anxious. This should not come as a surprise for the following reasons.
First of all, it was the couple’s first child. Therefore, they had every right to make sure that they took extra precautions. Secondly, given that the pair were not happy in the firm, the last thing they needed was to see issues with their children.
Scobie’s following comments confirmed as much: “Neither found themselves comfortable sleeping through the night without going to check on Archie regularly.”
The duo will have learnt from this experience since they are now parents to Liliebt too. And given that reports stress they may consider having another child, the couple are well primed to deal with whatever may come.
