Prince William and Kate Middleton chose to ignore the controversy surrounding the rumor that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had been asked to vacate Frogmore Cottage.
William And Kate Put On A United Front Following Reports That The Sussexes Have Been Told To Leave Frogmore
During the celebration of St David’s Day, the couple interacted with the public and conversed with the military personnel. Kate opted to don a red coat, evidently to commemorate St David’s Day, while a girl gave her a bouquet of flowers.
As she arrived, the princess was welcomed by a group of cheerful children, with one of them even doing a backflip for her. This was William’s initial visit to the Welsh Guards since he became the Colonel of the Regiment, and he was wearing a smart military outfit.
He joined the saluting of the soldiers, with the band performing the national anthem. This comes amid reports circulating that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been removed from their royal residency in Britain, to create space for Prince Andrew.
It is reported that Andrew has been granted access to the lesser Windsor dwelling, but the Duke of York is apparently not keen on taking it.
A source confirmed the following: “Andrew is resisting the idea of moving into Frogmore Cottage after he was offered it last week. But it shows Harry and Meghan are powerless to stop the eviction.”
The public’s response on social media was very clear. A certain subset of people were of the view that this was the best course of action since Harry and Meghan had shown that they were not wanting to be a part of the firm anyway.
One person wrote: “They never wanted to be part of the family, so now they have the opportunity to make a clear cut.”
