Since making his debut in All Elite Wrestling as the bodyguard of MJF – Wardlow has been on the path to success. He would gain fan favour being mistreated by MJF, making his eventual split from the current AEW World Heavyweight Champion one of the biggest moments in AEW history.
Wardlow has finding his own role in the company ever since, becoming a three time TNT Champion. His current run could take him to the next level – as he has the legendary Arn Anderson helping him realise his true potential in the ring… and help him navigate the backstage aspect of professional wrestling.
Arn Anderson Feels Wardlow Has Been Fed Bad Advice To Keep Him From Meeting His Potential
While speaking on his ARN podcast, Wardlow’s new manager would take some time to say that Wardlow has been given bad advice and guidance since the start of AEW – and hopes to help change this. Anderson had the following to say about Wardlow.
“That guy’s got so much potential, so much talent. He’s such a class act. He’s focused. He carries himself like a professional. He does everything right. He’s just been getting some bad advice from day one, bad guidance. In this business, when that locker room sees a guy that’s got unlimited potential, the claws come out. … They try to shut him down before he ever gets rolling in all kinds of political ways and physical ways.”
TNT Champion Needs To Do Whatever It Takes To Win
Anderson made his debut as the manager of Wardlow just ahead of his rematch for the TNT Championship with Powerhouse Hobbs.
This past week on AEW Dynamite, Anderson expressed that Wardlow needs to do whatever it takes to win his matches to get to the top – and so long as Wardlow does than, Anderson will remain by his side.
Wardlow is set to defend the TNT Championship against Christian Cage soon – with Cage having started mindgames with the champion over the past few weeks.
Cage is a former Impact Wrestling Champion, having won the belt from Kenny Omega on the debut episode of AEW Rampage – but has yet to claim other championships during his AEW run.
