‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to kick off the new week in style with some fun spoilery goodies to share.
This is a curious episode as we’re going to get a rehashing of some Newman family politics and teaching moments, as well as Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) learning a painful lesson.
Let’s get into some spoilers!
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, April 17: Here we go again
It’s been a few months since Victor Newman (Eric Braden) felt the need to teach one of his children a lesson, but it looks like he’s going to feel the need to show Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) the error of his ways.
We expect things will become heated when Adam informs Victor that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is pregnant with his child and he still loves her despite her being with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
Since it’s against Victor’s religion to allow his children to have free will, he’ll lecture Adam about his mistakes and attempt to show him why not listening to Victor is a bad idea.
His lesson could be anything, but it’ll be designed to hurt Adam. Victor may pull the offer to hand him McCall Unlimited from under him since Adam’s judgment is “impaired.”
He could also try to force Sally to leave Genoa City behind Adam and Nick’s backs, because why wouldn’t he? Victor already scrapes the bottom of the barrel when it comes to how he treats family, so what harm would another underhanded endeavor do?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Monday, April 17: A bit too late
“The Young and the Restless” Spoilers have been waiting for Phyllis to have her “Aha!” moment, and seeing the pain she’s caused her loved ones for her own selfish endeavor was it.
Of course, she doesn’t understand that she was selfish, irresponsible, unhinged, or even dumb as a box of bricks. We doubt she will for a long time and some much needed therapy.
But she’s on the right track by wanting to out her and Jeremy Stark (James Hyde)’s plan just so she can stop her children’s pain and suffering.
While it’s the right thing to do, she may not be forgiven like she expects since it was another manipulation attempt, though they’ll be grateful she’s alive and the process will start.
But because it’s the right thing to do, Stark wants nothing to do with it. Especially when it’ll send him back to prison for running this con.
He’s even been kind enough to threaten Phyllis’ life, and since she doesn’t want to be dead for real, she’s going to have to think fast to get out of this situation.
It’s going to be interesting to see what idea she comes up with to get away from Stark, but we’re really curious to see if she’ll develop any empathy for Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and what she went through with Stark.
That may be a bit much for Phyllis to admit.
How do you think Phyllis will try to get away? Let us know in the comments below and check back with “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation.
