‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to keep the ball rolling with some fun spoilery goodies to share.
While the current main storyline in Genoa City is a master class in not thinking ahead, there are a couple of bright spots to help keep it from going off the rails. Let’s dig into some spoilers!
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Tuesday, April 4: The good old days
Nothing like supporting the current tumultuous payback attempt by Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) by reminding us how other pairings worked out over the years.
This could simply be a time killer, or showing us the writers intend to keep Stark and Phyllis as a couple long term.
Assuming it’s the latter, they’re going to tab Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) to reminisce about their own past and all the trouble they had.
This should be a fun scene just to see some flashbacks and relive some of those memories.
It’ll be an interesting perspective since Sharon’s made her way through the elder Newman men over the years and things have rarely been as peaceful as they are now.
That being said, we have a feeling they’ll be plenty of self congratulations on the two of them finding a way through this.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Tuesday, April 4: Moving forward
It looks like Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) are going to move in together, and this will be an interesting development.
For Devon, his relationships tend to end once he’s living with someone as one of the pair get bored or are lured away.
For Abby, it’ll be a good move to get out of the Chancellor mansion and leave those memories behind. Starting over can be a good thing, and this will give her the chance to do just that and without ass much fuss as there may be otherwise.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Tuesday, April 4: Striking back
While it’s obvious Stark is looking to have Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) thrown in prison for murder, or at the very least scare the crap out of her until Phyllis walks in all triumphant.
The issue here is it’s lazy writing. While there’s a chance the clues will point to Diane and will get her into trouble, once Phyllis appears she’ll be ostracized for her actions and that will send her deeper down her hole since Diane was largely forgiven.
She’ll either have to stay gone, or Stark could’ve really killed her to get his revenge. Either way, Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) won’t care and he’ll go after Stark.
He’ll threaten him for luring his mom into his lies and being responsible for killing her. Even if Diane goes to jail, it won’t stick and Stark and Phyllis will be hated once more.
When do you think we’ll see Phyllis again? Let us know in the comments below and check back with “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation.
