One of the most important shows in professional wrestling history was 2018’s All In. After years of WWE being the only company to run a large venue in the United States, we would see the likes of Ring of Honor, New Japan Pro Wrestling and more come together to celebrate professional wrestling.
This would be the spark that lit the fuse for the creation of All Elite Wrestling – and now in 2023, we’re getting another All In event. Set to take place from the iconic Wembley Stadium in London, England – this event can be another game changing event in professional wrestling.
While it’s expected to mostly focus on the roster of AEW – Will Ospreay of NJPW hopes the show has the same heart as the original All In.
Will Ospreay Hopes That All In Has Variety, But Knows AEW Talent Comes First
While speaking with Dark Puroresu Flowsion, Will Ospreay had a chance to give some of his thoughts about the upcoming All In event. Ospreay was quoted saying the following.
“Obviously this is a AEW show. The priority should be his talent but I do hope it’s about variety because I think if you have a finger in a bunch of pies, you’re reaching out to every market of wrestling fan & bringing it to Wembley.”
It seems unlikely that someone like Ospreay will not find a role on All In. He’s been featured on AEW programming in the past, most notably around Forbidden Door and the AEW World Trios Championship tournament.
Ospreay was intended to be part of ROH Supercard of Honor, but his recent shoulder injury kept him out of the action.
Given Ospreay’s status as one of the biggest wrestlers from the UK in the industry today, Khan would be foolish to not bring Ospreay onto the show.
There’s many easy matches to put together – including a rematch with Kenny Omega over the IWGP United States Championship. Ospreay would likely move atleast a few tickets, and is always sure to entertain fans in the stands.
