Next week, we will see Kenny Omega & Jon Moxley settle their differences in one of the most brutal matches possible. They will be locked into a solid steel cage, and once that door is locked – all rules go out the window.
Omega & Moxley are no stranger to one another, with their feud as old as AEW itself – and having battled over the AEW World Championship, and in harrowing Lights Out matches. Tonight, we will hear from Omega as preparations are made for this potentially career changing match.
Kenny Omega Promises Blood In The Steel Cage
Earlier in the night, Moxley claimed he’s changed since they last met – but Omega sees the same psychopath he’s beaten time and time again.
Don Callis would say that the scars Moxley left on him are nothing. With Omegas skill and Callis’s brain – they’re the perfect duo. When Moxley enters a ring with Omega, he knows he can’t match him – but steel cage matches are about violence.
Moxley is great at violence, but he made the mistake of making this personal. MOxley and the Blackpool Combat Club attacked Don Callis, they attacked The Young Bucks, they attacked Hangman Page, and even attacked Konosuke Takeshita. Omega is ready to show a new edge next week – and promises blood, not caring if it’s his or Moxleys.
Christian Cage Reveals Plans To Claim TNT Championship
Wardlow is once again the TNT Champion – and with Arn Anderson by his side, is more dangerous than ever. Christian Cage & Luchasarus are looking for a title shot – but tonight, the belt is not on the line. Instead, he’s going one on one with local name Logan LeRoux – and it’s not looking good for Logan.
Wardlow would start fast with a press slam, before preluding the wind up lariat with a gun shot taunt – a nod to the now iconic Glock Anderson promo. Logan would take a series of powerbombs, and was already looking broken. The third powerbomb ended this match, another big win for Wardlow in 2023.
After the match, Wardlow said he’s not done yet – hasn’t even broken a sweat. There’s someone in the back lacking the balls to get into the ring, and called for an open challenge right now – with the TNT Championship on the line, if Christian or Luchasarus enter the ring tonight. Christian would say he could send Luchasauras to claim gold tonight, but Baltimore doesn’t deserve that match.
The title shot doesn’t belong to Luchasaurus anyways, it belongs to Christian – who is not taking his shot tonight. This is a former World Champion in WWE & Impact Wrestling, and by far the most experienced wrestler someone like Wardlow has ever faced.
Ricky Starks Gets Win Over Bullet Club Gold, The War Wages On
For weeks now, Ricky Starks has been the target of Bullet Club Gold. Juice Robinson was set to face Starks one on one, only for the debut of Jay White to lead to a two on one beatdown.
Tonight, Starks will finally get his chance at revenge as he goes one on one with Robinson. There will be little chance of another no-contest. However, with today being the ten year anniversary of Bullet Club – anything could happen.
Starks & Robinson wasted no time getting into this fight, with Starks sending Robinson out to the floor. Robinson would be thrown hard into the barricade, before Starks would find himself being choked on the floor. Starks would avoid a piledriver, hitting a back body drop – only to be whipped into the steel steps.
Robinson would lose control, with Starks lifting him for a scoop slam – climbing the stairs, and throwing Robinson to the floor.
Starks would be tripped into the ring post, and back in the ring – Robinson would hit a big flapjack to set up a big leaping senton. Robinson missed the Left Hand Of God – and Starks hit a Northern Lights Bomb.
Starks came off the top with a frog splash, but Starks got the knees up. He’d recover in the corner, taking a cannonball senton and super rana – before Robinson uncorked a massive lariat for a two count.
Juice Is Loose would be blocked, and Starks cut Robinson down. Roshambo followed, and Starks got the win. After the bell, Jay White attacked Starks.
