Later this year, we will see a new TV show launch for All Elite Wrestling. Joining AEW Dynamite & Rampage will be a two hour Saturday Night show in AEW Collision.
This will be taking the place of Rampage as the second main show in their weekly rotation – which left many to question the future of Rampage. After the cancellation of Dark & Dark: Elevation, fans wondered if Friday night will no longer have AEW programming – but it’s going to be sticking around.
AEW Rampage To Become More Like AEW Dark, Remains On Television For Friday Nights
As reported by Dave Meltzer in this weeks edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter – Rampage will remain part of AEW’s weekly rotation.
Rampage will take the place of Dark, but maintain it’s 10PM EST TV slot. Much like Dark, it will focus on younger talent – allowing them more ring time. It will be taped on Wednesday’s after AEW Dynamite, while Collision will be live every Saturday.
Collision will come alongside taping for Ring of Honor TV – which presently airs on HonorClub. All together, this gives 7 hours a week for the AEW roster. This is comparable to WWE, who put out 9.5 hours with Monday Night RAW, NXT, Smackdown Live, Main Event and NXT Level Up.
The fate of the Battle of The Belts specials remains unclear, with them often airing on Friday nights in addition to Rampage. With Collision being a live show, saving title matches for that will likely be a priority over specials.
Taping Spoilers For Latest Rampage
Tonight’s episode of AEW Rampage was taped this past Wednesday, and will feature The Firm Deletion match from the Hardy Compound – which features a returning Jeff Hardy.
In addition to this, the following matches were taped after Dynamite.
- Lucha Brothers & El Hijo del Vikingo defeat Aaron Solo, Powerhouse Hobbs & QT Marshall
- Jade Cargill defeats Gia Scott
- Mark Briscoe defeats Preston Vance
