‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re set to end the week with some fun plot twists and spoilery goodies to share.
There’s some interesting times coming to Genoa City as we finally get some delicious drama we’ve been dying for. The show’s been getting better with that, and with the current family dynamics in place, things are set to erupt big time.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, May 12: Michael gets the edge he needed
Thanks to Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) conscience and desire to do the right thing, he’ll tell Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) about Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) being alive and he’ll tell Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc).
It’ll be interesting to see if this will be enough to get the charges dropped against Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) as we suspect Danial will say Phyllis called him without real proof.
At the very least, it’ll get Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) another direction to look in his investigation instead of sitting around pouting he’s being told by others he needs to do his job.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, May 12: Repercussions
It won’t be all flowers and rainbows for Daniel as he’ll have to deal with the moral dilemma of letting the world know his mother faked her death to frame Diane and betray his sister’s trust.
Since Phyllis did what she did of her own free will and will get what she deserves, Summer Newman (Alison Lanier) is another victim thanks to Phyllis’ manipulations.
She’s so fragile and close to the edge from the weight of the world on her shoulders we think part of the reason Daniel will come clean is to take off some of that burden.
Phyllis had no right putting all of that on Summer’s shoulders. In her mind, breaking her daughter emotionally was the better choice to allowing her to suffer and think her mom was dead.
Things are going to get really messy before they get better, and Daniel’s going to have to shoulder a lot of that going forward.
There’s another possibility, and that’s the news of Phyllis’ actions may be the wake up call Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) needs to snap her out of her blind hate.
If she can see that and let go of some of her hate, then Jack may not be so defensive and the two of them can mend their relationship before there’s more damage done that can’t be repaired.
