Since Diane returned to Genoa City, she has had to spend most her time convincing almost everyone that she was not hiding anything (which is a big lie), but eventually, her son Kyle, her partner, Jack welcomed her back with open arms.
We know that Phyllis faked her death (with the help of her dead partner in crime, Jeremy), and had Diane framed for it. Diane went to jail for this, but Phyllis returned, and she was released and had the time to plan her wedding.
