‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers here and we’re all set to close the week out with some fun spoilery goodies to share.
This episode is going to focus on decisions, both good and bad, and we’re stoked to see how they’re going to play out.
In our opinion, the change at the top has really lit a fire in the show and we’re loving what they’re giving us lately. So, without further ado, let’s dive in!
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, June 9: Major announcement!
After plenty of scheming, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) may have fallen for Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John)’s latest ploy to take over Jabot, and it’s all in the name of saving Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) from himself.
The logic is ill-fated at best and tragic at worst, but we’re holding out hope Tucker and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) have really turned over a new leaf. We think Diane has and have defended her before, but Tucker is still a wild card.
So when Ashley and Tucker announce their engagement, “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers doubt it’ll have the impact they hope for since most won’t be surprised at the gamesmanship.
Another reason could be that Jack and Diane will diffuse the situation by announcing Diane’s promotion. Of course, Ashley will see it as Diane conniving her way into power like she feared and will double down on her efforts.
While there is a chance this is a plot by Diane and Tucker, but it feels too perfect given no one could know how off the wall Ashley would react.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Friday, June 9: Phyllis does it again
It’s not often we expect Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) to do the right thing, but rest assured when she does it it’s only because she has no other option.
In this case, we think she’ll finally reach the end of her rope at causing her family pain and refuse to run away like Summer Newman (Alison Lanier) is trying to get her to do.
It’ll be a good scene between them as they argue back and forth, and we expect Phyllis seeing Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will be the final deciding factor for her.
So, Phyllis will make the rash decision to turn herself in and leave Summer begging her not to. It’s really the only way to gain closure and allow Summer to get the help she needs.
But this is Phyllis and anything is possible, so she could just as easily duck into a closet to avoid detection and then disappear for the next few years if she gets the idea.
Will this be a happy day for Ashley or will she be pushed closer to the edge? Let us know in the comments below and check back with “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation.
