Darby Allin is not in a good mood right now. Last Saturday Night, he was pinned in the main event. On Wednesday, he was betrayed by the man who trained him – when AR Fox would join forces with Swerve Strickland.
Allin only knows one way to deal with emotions like this, and that is to let them out in the ring – and tonight, he’s challenged anyone who is ready for a fight.
Minoru Suzuki Is Always Ready For A Fight…
The crowd would be shocked as Kaze Ni Nare would hit, signalling The King himself to hit the ring – New Japan Pro Wrestling legend Minoru Suzuki.
Allin would not let Suzuki finish his entrance, knocking him off the apron with a dropkick, before following up with a dive. Suzuki was sat on a chair at ringside before Allin jumped off the apron with a shotgun dropkick.
In the ring, the bell would finally ring – and Allin’s early assault just pissed Suzuki off. Allin would throw forearm smashes at Suzuki, who absorbed five of them before levelling Allin with a single blow.
Suzuki would apply the Triangle Choke in the ropes, using all of the five count – and sending Allin to the floor for a kick to the chest.
Allin would take a running boot to the face in the corner, before being set up for a snapmare. Suzuki would tear off the bandages around the ribs before locking in a single leg crab – forcing Allin to scurry to the ropes.
Allin would take a forearm shot to the spine, and Suzuki would follow up by strangling Allin with the bandages – hanging him over the top rope.
…But Darby Allin Survives
Not wanting to give in, Allin would hit the ring and hit an overhand chop on Suzuki, only to be dropped with the return shot.
Suzuki would put hands behind his back, welcoming the strikes from Allin – taking a flurry before the Sunset Flip for a two count. Allin would hit a Coffin Splash in the corner, before being caught in the sleeper hold – and nearly taking the Gotch Style Piledriver.
Allin would hit a Springboard Coffin Splash, before trying for the Coffin Drop. Suzuki caught him in the Rear Naked Choke, and Allin would counter into a pinfall to escape with the victory.
After the bell, Christian Cage would appear on the screen – with the TNT Championship over his shoulder, while the champion Luchasaurus stood behind him.
Cage would say that as long as that belt is in his possession, Allin will never hold it again – even if Allin has the chance at All Out to become a three time champion.
Samoa Joe Ensures Gravity Falls
Samoa Joe has been absent from All Elite Wrestling following his loss to longtime rival CM Punk, but the ROH World Television Champion returns tonight.
Ready to once again show his dominance, Joe has taken aim at recent luchador sensation Gravity. High profile matches against Komander & PAC have put the little brother of former ROH World Champion Bandido in the spotlight, and tonight – Joe looks to pull him back down to earth.
Gravity would taunt as the match began, using his speed to avoid damage from Joe – and hitting a quick Hurricanrana. A quick arm drag would follow, before Joe hit the jab. Joe drove Gravity into the corner for a running forearm smash, before Gravity rushed across the ring for a springboard.
Joe simply walked aside as Gravity crashed to the mat. The running senton would follow, before Joe nailed the Muscle Buster for a dominant victory. When you mess with Samoa Joe, even Gravity falls.
