While there are many fearless wrestlers, there are some moves that some wrestlers won’t bother attempting—or attempting again in the case of Big E. As we know, Big E is a stocky but large man.
He’s similar to a Rhino or Monty Brown: large enough that he’d be hard to topple but compact enough that not only is he hard to topple but he’s like a wrecking ball if he has any speed.
What Move Do You Believe WWE Superstar Big E Will NEVER Try Again?
So, the guy is built more power than flashy aerial attacks. Sure, it’s not unusual to see bigger wrestlers dive out of the ring or off the top rope in modern wrestling but most stick to the rivers and the lakes that they’re used to.
If anything, it’ll ensure a lengthier career as it’s a style that can go wrong even for the wrestlers who regularly use aerial offense.
Typically, Big E shies away from air combat sporting an apron splash as the riskiest aerial offense in his repertoire. Impressive and effective but not particularly flashy.
And you know what? Considering that Big E is a power-based superstar, I wouldn’t expect it to be flashy. Actually, I’d expect his splash to be a little more raw but not just sloppy. However, like a cruiserweight and their signature kicks or dives, he pulls off his Big Splash and its apron variation smoothly.
During an appearance on the Ken Carmen show, Big E was asked about a move he’d stay away from and not even attempt. With an answer similar to Brock Lesnar and his former finisher the Shooting Star Press, Big E answered with the moonsault.
“One time, after much peer pressure, we had a big foam mat. I got pressured into trying a moonsault. That did not go well. My one-and-done was trying a moonsault. I can’t rotate. I can run fast, I cannot rotate. One and done on a moonsault attempt.” (h/t: Fightful)
Peer pressure will get you every time—especially when risk is involved! In the interview, the former WWE Champion also discussed his health after rehabbing from neck surgery. He expressed that he’s just about 100-percent but isn’t certain about when he’ll be cleared.
