The Acclaimed were finally able to drop House of Black at All In – and took the AEW World Trios Championships. This allowed them to bring one last championship reign to the legendary career of Billy Gunn. Tonight, they will be on hand for AEW Dynamite – as we get the celebration of their title victory.

The Acclaimed Bring A New Look To The AEW World Trios Championships

There was a ribbon in the ring and a table with something covered as The Acclaimed made their way to the ring. Gunn would start the proceedings, and had good news – Daddy Ass is back. He channelled Bad Ass Billy Gunn for All In, but is back to being more fun loving for now.

81,045 fans got to see The Acclaimed capture trios gold – and came back to Chicago. It was this crowd that raised The Acclaimed to their next level with their match against Swerve In Our Glory at All Out 2022. Gunn would cut the ribbon, and we’d see what was under the covering – new AEW World Trios Belts! They’re pink, and the ends are scissors!

The Acclaimed would announce plans to defend their belts this Saturday on AEW Collision. Their opponents will be Daniel Garcia, Matt Mendard & Angelo Parker – formerly of The Jericho Appreciation Society.

    Penta El Zero Meido

The schedule of a champion is not an easy one, and Orange Cassidy has learned that as AEW International Champion. He was slightly let down to not be able to defend his AEW International Championship when AEW went to the UK – but Tony Khan had a good idea.

With Cassidy having called out Jon Moxley, that match would be made for All Out… should he survive tonight’s challenge. Another man itching for revenge on Moxley is Penta El Zero Miedo, and tonight – whoever walks away as champion gets their match with Moxley.

A quick show of speed as this match began set the tone for the match to come – with both men equal. Cassidy would show his grappling skills, catching Penta with an arm wringer – before sending him to the floor. Penta would catch Cassidy going for a dive in a Press Slam – and threw him into the barricade.

Cassidy would be pulled into the ring, with Penta trapping his arms in the ropes before a big overhand chop. Armbar would be attempted, but Cassidy broke free and attempted the Beach Break. Penta would roll down into a pinfall, with Cassidy countering – leading to a roll around with plenty of one falls.

Cassidy would send Penta to the floor and hit the dive this time, before a superkick landed. Penta slipped into the ring and soared over the top rope with a dive.

Trying to pull Cassidy back in from the apron with a suplex would see the Stundog Millionaire counter. Swinging DDT would follow before Penta would catch Cassidy in the corner with a backstabber.

Orange Cassidy Only Needs Three Seconds To Get The Win

Cassidy would try for the Orange Punch to get back into the fight, only to be caught. Penta would force Cassidy into the ropes, before having his ear bitten.

Penta would be distracted by a fan dressed as a referee at ringside, before some kicks to the arm would land on Cassidy in the ring – who didn’t have enough time to recover fully.

Cassidy & Penta would trade blows in the middle of the ring, with a flurry of forearms from Cassidy being met with a superkick. Penta took a superkick of his own, before running Cassidy down with a slingblade.

Another superkick would land, and Penta tried for the armbreaker. Cassidy would use his pocket to hold things together before trading Canadian Destroyers with Penta – taking one and hitting two.

Orange Punch would be caught into the Made In Japan driver – getting Penta a near fall. Another attempt at the armbreaker was stopped by Cassidy, before this one came to the apron.

A Fear Factor Piledriver on the apron would crunch Cassidy, but the pinfall in the ring was too close to the ropes. Penta kept on the attack with an armbreaker, and the Fear Factor followed – but somehow, someway Cassidy kicked out and got a shock roll up for the win.

After the match, Cassidy would speak. He doesn’t like to talk, and every single title defense makes it harder to carry. But he’s still here and making his defenses, taking down challenger after challenger.

This belt means everything to him, and there is nothing anyone can do to take it from him. Jon Moxley better bring everything he has, because Cassidy doesn’t know how to lose this belt.

Can Orange Cassidy get a sly victory over Jon Moxley at All Out to keep this reign going? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
