Over the last couple of days, WWE Superstar Lacey Evans has taken to social media with a handful of posts hinting that her time with the company is nearing the end of the road.
To add more fuel to the fire, she removed the WWE from her social media handles and posted on her Instagram that stated: “When the clock strikes 12, you will address me as Macey Estrella from here on out…….oh, and this jacket is up for grabs. Be on the lookout😈👀💦.

That sounds like when the clock strikes midnight to begin August 16, 2023 she will no longer be under contract with the WWE and honestly we think that’s a good thing.
On her social media she’s posted a lot about how she enjoys spending time with her family and raising her children, so there’s a chance she could try another endeavor.
On the flip side, there’s every chance that she’ll continue her wrestling career with another company.
That would mean most likely AEW or Impact Wrestling, and we’d prefer she joins Trinity in Impact Wrestling simply because he think the Knockouts division is the best in wrestling, or at least the top three brands.
They treat the division as equals with the men and don’t shave off minute simply because it’s a women’s match. But that’s out personal opinion and wherever she goes or decides to do will be perfect for her and we wish her the best.
WWE never used her right
As to why she’s leaving the WWE, it could be anything and only she knows for sure.
For us, we don’t think they ever used her right. She checked every box we’ve heard other say Vince McMahon wants in a female wrestler, but since Triple H took over she failed to get any traction.
We think they missed a huge opportunity following the vignettes where she detailed her life growing up and the obstacles she overcame.
She was set to me a monster face, but started to turn heel pretty quickly and reports said that was always the plan. To us, it felt like she would’ve been better as a face.
Even with her last gimmick as a drill instructor/Sgt. Slaughter type, she was booked poorly. She should’ve been a monster heel where she’d brutalize her opponents, similar to Steve Maclin in Impact Wrestling, instead of losing to goofy gimmicks or quickly being eliminated.
She could’ve even had her own match, like a Boot Camp Match that would basically be a No DQ match, and it would’ve allowed the women’s division to get gritty and be more than high flying talent with big matches.
She could’ve had a Bray Wyatt type of thing where once she finished with an opponent they were changed, just as people are changed when they go through boot camp.
She’s too talented to have been used like she was, and we’re excited to see what’s next for her. It’ll be a fun ride whatever she decides on.
