There is one name in All Elite Wrestling who Romero has his eyes on, and that’s Chris Jericho.

While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Romero would name a dream match he’s yet to fufill – naming AEW star Chris Jericho.

“You know who I really want to wrestle? Jericho. I’d love to have a singles with Jericho, he’d be somebody who I’d love to work with. That was the generation that inspired me so much. Eddie Guerrero is gone unfortunately, I got to wrestle Rey Mysterio. Jericho in a singles match would be dope. that would be such a big deal for me personally. Now, getting to work with him behind the scenes, getting him over to New Japan the last few years and how our relationship has developed over the last couple of years, to work with him in the ring…that would be my guy.”
Romero Works Closely With Tony Khan To Maintain The Partnership With New Japan Pro Wrestling
Rocky Romero is involved with All Elite Wrestling in a few different ways. He’s shown up on TV as a wrestler, generally teaming with the Best Friends faction, with Trent Beretta being one of his greatest tag team partners. However, his bigger role in the company being the primary contact from New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Romero is the man who has been working with Tony Khan personally to ensure that this partnership continues to work. We have the Forbidden Door because Romero is doing everything possible to hold it open.
Because of this, Romero getting a potential dream match against Jericho is very likely. AEW loves to throw out first time singles meetings on shows like Dynamite or Collision, so Jericho vs. Romero would fit in perfectly.
